Whoa, I'm knitting!

I knitted up this little bag yesterday and today. It still needs to be felted, but it's supposed to be a basket-shaped round bag in the end.

Buttonhole Bag pictures!

The first FO for 2006! The socks will be a close second - and would've been first except for the needle mishap :-/

Before felting

* Lopi black, blood red and greyish blue

* 6mm needles, ~45 stitches, about 15-20 rows straight stockinette

* body: 7mm needles, 30ish rows black, 6 rows each stripe, 40ish rows grey

* decreasing by 4 stitches each round four times

* part above buttonholes knitted with double strand for extra thick handles

* felted in two cycles, one 40°C and one 60°C - it shed enough for me to be glad I'd put it inside a pillow case

* size prefelting: height x width 35cm x 35cm

* size post-felting: height x width 20cm x 30cm

... check back in 2-3 hours for pictures! The bag has felted beautifully and is currently drying on the radiator. I love it! Almost don't want to give it away, lol.

Islandwolle

Yay, my yarn arrived! :-)

I had to start an in-between project

So I'm making a Sophie bag from two shades of purple which I had left from my last order from Islandwolle. Pictures today or tomorrow (should be done knitting today but probably won't felt before tomorrow) ...

Lopi yarn

Forgot to add this yesterday - I ordered Lopi yarn from Islandwolle again, so thanks everyone who offered to go yarn-shopping for me :-) I ordered six different colours, to make at least two bags, one a Union Jack one for the Britalong, a Sophie bag for a friend and let's see what else. Yay, more felting!
