Background: I bought a new mobile phone and contract on eBay two weeks ago ...
Before I mailed the signed mobile phone contract last week, I called the provider to ask where and how I would best write down the delivery address for the phone because it is different from my official address (I had to provide a copy of my ID card with the contract). I was told to write it onto the contract. It took me a couple of days to make up my mind whether I wanted to take the risk of it going to the wrong address (I still have our old home address on my ID) or whether I'd pay for a slightly more expensive deal in town but skip the delivery problem.
I decided to stick with this offer (€1!) and noted the different delivery address on the contract itself. In red.
I started wondering today why the phone still hadn't arrived, so I emailed the provider and got an email back that it had been sent out via UPS on Friday but had come back as undeliverable. Could I please contact UPS directly? Guess what happened? Yep, the phone had been sent to the wrong address! Argh, why do they think I ask and then write the address IN RED on the contract???
