Wollfee-Kiri and SP7 gifts

Here's Kiri III, knit from Roedel sock yarn - it was a dream to knit, and I like the slightly chunkier yarn a lot for Kiri! What a difference blocking made again - here's Kiri pre-blocking! In the end, Kiri was a massive 1,60m x 90cm!

 

Not a particularly brilliant picture but the best I could do on a rainy April day ... Monika's picture on her blog is far better :-) I'm so glad she likes it!

I got
* a DVD about Estonia (looking forward to watching that, and I can't wait to visit soon!)
* beautiful green amber earrings (I love amber, all women in my family do :-))
* a chopping board/coaster made from juniper wood, it smells *great*, and I'm really thrilled with it because I've never seen anything made from juniper!
* 3 skeins of lovely soft alpaca wool and
* lots and lots of sweet treats - there were a lot more but they were long eaten by the time I took the photo ... I especially enjoyed the cashew nut chocolate bar, I've never had cashews in chocolate! It's *yummy*!

A pity I can't take part in SP8, but I hope I'm back in the game for SP9 ...

Wollfee mail

Ich habe heute Dein Paeckchen bekommen aber nicht fotografiert bekommen. Danke danke danke, das Birch-Tuch (ist es doch, oder?) ist superschoen! Mein erstes eigenes Dreiecktuch :-)) Die Stricknadeln sind genau das, was ich schon ewig auf meinem Wunschzettel hatte, und die Osterhasen sind ja einfach knuddlig - die Schokolade ist schon halb vermampft ...

Morgen mach' ich Fotos!

Apparently, the way I knit is called "combined knitting". I had no idea I was knitting in a non-mainstream way, it's just how my mum knits ...

I got the yarn, pattern is printed, needles are chosen, TV is switched on ... I'm doing another Kiri!!

Knitting Olympics

I think I've finally found the right pattern to knit during the KO, so I can sign up :-)))

... if I make it into town tomorrow and find the yarn that I need, that is!

Wollfee surprise today

I am still using Mam's computer because ours is fried, and hers is sooooo slow - it's nearly impossible to use it :-( Both computers suck big time!

But here are some pictures of today's (yesterday's by now!) surprise:

A needle case! Did you make it yourself?  I love the fabric, and it's a lot prettier than the red plastic box I'm using at the moment ...

Inside the needle case I found an ebony crochet hook (I have such an attentive Wollfee who has read my questionnaire :-)), cotton yarn and some super dark (99%) chocolate!
